Having visited Pakistan 2 months ago, I gotta order Karahi with tandoori roti too, turned out tasty unlike the looks of the tiny mutton portion at first with quite a bit of bones even though we asked for fewer bones, but the flavour and texture are simply good! The beef kebabs are super juicy and flavourful yet nicely bouncy and the minced meat is well seasoned and grilled, super! The raita is so refreshing and thick enough to my liking However, the palak paneer and dal makani are let down, with a bed of too much oil and hardly paneer inside, and came from the already cooked tray, not freshly cooked upon ordering. We will recommend those who crave Pakistani BBQs. Nice interiors and fantastic service! Keep up the good work! ”

“ I was pleasantly surprised with the clean and well decorated interior of the restaurant. Service staff were helpful although we did have some language difficulty. But the star of the visit was the food of course. The Mutton Pulao was a great opener. Bursting with flavour and good enough to eat on it's own. The mutton cubes were tender and fell apart on touch. In comparison the Chicken Biryani was less impressive but still quite good. The Mutton Pulao is Highly Recommended. Haleem, a thick chicken gravy with shredded chicken, was a very tasty dip for breads or accompaniment for rice. It's a little oily, but very moreish. Highly Recommended All the vegetable dishes we had were very tasty and well cooked - Channa Lahori (chickpeas); Bhindi Masala (ladies finger) and Daal Chana (dhal). All were good accompaniments for both the rice and breads. These are all Recommended. Afghan Naan is a large naan topped with black and white sesame, making it very fragrant. The Rogni Naan on the other hand is slightly sweet bread with white sesame seeds sprinkled on top. I preferred the latter but my mates preferred the former. Both are light and fluffy and both are Recommended. Mint Lassi and Mint Margerita are cooling and refreshing thirst quenchers. The soft and pudding-like Kheer, which is not too sweet, would be a good dessert to end the meal. Overall the food was tasty, service was attentive and atmosphere was bright and pleasant. Certainly a place that I would return to try more menu items again in future. ”

“ Monal restaurant is superb. The food is spectacular and plentiful. Every dish stands out. We have had chicken on both our visits, and both times the chicken has been cooked perfectly; the meat itself is high quality. My girlfriend and I are blown away not only by the quantity and quality of the food, but also by the service. We had never tried Pakistani desserts before, so we asked the staff to give us what they would recommend as their top selections for us to try. We loved all the desserts we were given, which I think speaks to how well thought out the suggestions were - it seemed there was some real debate as to what would be best to serve us, and our waiter was really excited to know what we enjoyed the most. This was our second visit. The staff recognised us and greeted us with warm smiles and a handshake. My girlfriend and I are fortunate: we have eaten in a number of places and of a number of different cuisines across the planet.
